2026 Pearl House Gala: Threads

An Evening of Generosity, Gratitude, and HOPE

On October 20, the Pearl House community gathered for our annual fundraising gala, Threads, an evening celebrating the stories that connect us and the HOPE we share for young women in Ghana.

What began as individual stories, friendships, and acts of generosity came together in a beautiful expression of community and faith. Because of your incredible support, over $250,000 was raised to continue the work of Healing, Opportunity, Protection, and Education at Pearl House.

As we reflect on the evening, our hearts are filled with gratitude for each of you who joined us, gave generously, and continue to believe in the futures of our Pearls.

Every thread tells a story

At the heart of Threads was a simple message: every story is woven together.

Each of our Pearls carries her own story, filled with experiences, dreams, and hopes for the future. And through the love, care, and generosity of a community that walks alongside her, those stories become connected to something greater.

This message was reflected throughout the evening, beginning with the interactive HOPE display, where guests added their own threads to a shared creation. Each thread represented a different experience or connection, gradually forming something that could only be created together.

We were also honored to feature the weaving artistry of Lee Anne Zeigler, Executive Director of WaterWorks Art Center, whose beautiful work brought the evening's theme to life in a tangible way.

Just as each thread contributed to the finished creation, every person who gathered that evening brought something uniquely their own to the story of Pearl House.

A Reflection of god’s goodness

As the Friendship Church Master's Choir began singing Goodness of God, their voices were joined by those of our Pearls singing the same song from Ghana. Across the distance, voices came together in worship, united by a shared testimony of God's faithfulness.

The song reflected so much of what we have witnessed through the years at Pearl House. God's goodness can be seen in the everyday moments of growth, in the love of a family, in opportunities for education, and in the courage of young women pursuing their dreams.

Through the stories shared during the program, we were reminded of the lives being shaped through Healing, Opportunity, Protection, and Education. Each milestone, each new opportunity, and each step toward independence reflects the ongoing work of Pearl House and the faithfulness of God through it all.

To those who have supported this mission, whether for many years or for the first time that evening, thank you for being part of these stories. Your generosity helps make it possible for our Pearls to grow in confidence, discover their gifts, and pursue the futures they envision for themselves.

That generosity was evident throughout the evening. From the silent auction and raffle to the excitement of the live auction, you gave with open hearts and a shared commitment to the young women we serve.

We are deeply grateful for every gift and for the trust you have placed in this mission. The impact of your generosity will reach far beyond the evening we shared.

With heartfelt gratitude

To every guest, donor, and volunteer, thank you for sharing this evening with us and for the many ways you continue to support the Pearls. Whether through your presence, prayers, service, or financial gifts, you are an important part of the Pearl House community.

Our stories continue together

The evening may have come to a close, but the stories we celebrated are still being written.

Every Pearl has her own dreams, her own gifts, and her own future to pursue. And every person who chooses to walk alongside her becomes part of a community of love, encouragement, and HOPE.

As we look back on Threads, we are reminded of the beauty of what God continues to do through the lives of our Pearls and the people who believe in them.

Thank you for adding your thread to this story. We are grateful to be woven together in a mission that reaches across oceans, connects communities, and continues to shape lives for generations to come.
