Responsibilities will vary greatly according to your giftedness and experience, but a general description is:

• Develop mentoring relationships with the girls

• Tutor the girls alongside their schooling

• Assist the CEO with administrative needs

• Assist with coordination of visitors prior to and during their time at TPH

• Assist with social media content and ideas

• Other needs as they arise

As an intern you will stay in the guest house located on The Pearl House property. The house is equipped with running water, air conditioning and internet access, among other amenities.

You need to be prepared to pay or fundraise the following costs:

• Meals and lodging ($15/day at TPH)

• International medical insurance ($4/day)

• Airline ticket (between $1500-$2500 roundtrip, depending on the time of year)

• Passport, Visa, and vaccines are additional costs you can expect to encounter as you plan your travel, but vary.

• a female within the ages of 18 and 23 years old (ideally should have completed at least their second year of university)

• someone who is laid-back, flexible, humble and selfless (a good sense of humor is also helpful)

• someone with experience traveling and doing missions

• someone with experience in working with children and youth

• someone with a deeply rooted relationship with God that can withstand trials and a lifestyle consistent with that of Christ
